The Aurora Project celebrated the opening of its Permanent Supportive Housing Residence (New Beginnings) with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday June 15th, 2015. The four apartment facility located on 529 Elm Street will house women who have engaged in services through Aurora’s transitional housing program.
This permanent supportive housing signifies an important step on the road back to self-sufficiency for the women and their children. “This new residence brings us closer to our vision of a complete campus, safely housing women from intake through independent living while staying true to our mission of providing safe and supportive housing” said Denise F. Fox, Aurora’s Executive Director.
Several local dignitaries attended the ceremony, including Mayor Hicks-Hudson, representatives of City Council and the Lucas County Land Bank and Commisioner Office. For more information, please call Aurora at 419-244-3200.
